Discussions will be posted each Thursday. These will be answered through discussion board in Canvas. Please post an initial response by Friday night at midnight. The discussion will remain open until the following Wednesday night for responses and dialogue with the class and instructor.

Assignments will also be posted each Thursday. These are real-world scenarios which will be encountered by nurse leaders. Assignments appear in discussion format but require a single response and no discussion. The response will be due the following Wednesday by midnight.

You are treated as a professional in the course. Accordingly, the grading is strict, but fair. Reading the directions and grading criteria provided for each assignment is the key to understanding how you will be graded. Following those directions is the key to doing well.

This course follows the typical grading guidelines:

  • A = 90 to 100% (627-700 points)
  • B = 80 to 89% (556-626 points)
  • C = 75 to 79% (525-555 points)
  • F =   0 to 74% (<521 points)
