Math and Science notations must be created with the Insert Math Equation tool or an accessible alternative must be provided.

Benefits

In order for math and science notations to be read correctly be text-to-speech programs, notations must be constructed with either LaTeX or MathML programming. Canvas's built-in equation editor does this programming for you so that 4/2²=1 isn't read as "four slash two two equals one."
